Cooking Marvellous

Cooking Marvellous has been trading since 2005 firstly from a high street store  in Shrewsbury where we sell a wide range of specialist cookware for the enthusiastic cook.

We specialise in knives and knife accessories, and have a fantastic variety on display.  We have a real commitment to staff training and so we have a wealth of staff knowledge, to help customers choose the right knife for their requirements.

In 2007, Cooking Marvellous started selling cookware online, trading at first from the shop premises.  However, this part of the business developed very rapidly and we quickly outgrew the shop premises.  We are currently operating from a warehouse just outside Shrewsbury, and dispatching to 54 countries around the world.

Our People 

Cooking Marvellous is owned and run by Joan Themans, and prides itself on it’s enthusiastic staff who are passionate about cooking and food, and who are always on the look out for new and exciting products to bring to our customers.

Cooking Marvellous is delighted to have received many awards over the past few years including the Shropshire Business Awards in 2009, and Britains Best Retailer Award in 2010 (Joan pictured below centre, with Ian Jones, and Sarah Henderson of Cooking Marvellous on either side).  We are also delighted to be finalists in this years 2011 Excellence in Houseware Awards, which will be presented by James Martin .... so fingers crossed there !

Out and about

Cooking Marvellous frequently takes a selection of products to food fairs and food shows  around the country, and we always have a stand at the BBC Food shows at the NEC in Birmingham.  We love to meet our customers face to face and enjoy having  the opportunity to chat with our customers and see what they are cooking and buying.

In June this year we launched our own range of herbs and spices “Spoon Pots” at the BBC Food Show.  This range complements our world cooking kits and has proved to be a great addition to our current catalogue.
